15 Days of Self-Hypnosis: What I’ve Learned About Joy, Success, and Self-Trust

I’m officially 15 days into my 30-day self-hypnosis challenge, and the insights I’m uncovering are already transforming the way I show up in both my life and my business.
Self-hypnosis isn’t just a relaxation tool — it’s a powerful method for inner self exploration, inner child healing, nervous system regulation, and mindset alignment. Through daily sessions, I’m learning how my internal world directly impacts my creativity, confidence, and entrepreneurial success.
Inner Child Work in Business and Life
Each self-hypnosis session brings me closer to my inner child — the part of me that is curious, tender, and sometimes afraid. She’s the unseen force behind how I love, how I communicate, and how I take action in my business. What has been showing up for me in this process of self-discovery is how connecting with my inner child is showing me how safe I feel in my relationships. It's been really interesting to observe where I feel joy, validation, and a sense of play. In contrast I have also been observing where I am feeling left out, rejected, or in fear of people being "mad at me".
When my inner child feels safe and supported, my ideas flow freely, and I take bold, aligned steps toward my goals. When she feels unseen, self-doubt and procrastination creep in, creating subtle patterns of self-sabotage that hold me back.
I learned from an early age that maybe it's just best for me to stay quiet and "out of the way". However, anticipating other people's needs from a place of insecurity and lack of confidence is not going to support my business and community grow. Playing safe to "make others feel more comfortable" is not in integrity with the service I hope to provide. This work can be confronting, and that's the point.
Entrepreneurship and the Fear of the Unknown
One of the biggest challenges as an entrepreneur is facing uncertainty:
Where will my next client come from?
Will my launch succeed?
Am I doing enough?
There is an old belief that lives within me that authority lives outside of myself. Sometimes I catch myself thinking, "This is too much, where is the adult in the room?" It's me. I'm the adult. I'm in charge.
These questions arise when we operate at the edge of our comfort zones. Self-hypnosis is helping me reframe the fear of the unknown by anchoring into self-trust and committing to consistent, aligned action. The path doesn’t need to be fully visible — showing up with presence and intention is enough.
Joy as the Threshold of Success
Through this challenge, I’ve realized that success isn’t just strategy or effort — it’s how much joy I feel in my ideas and the ease with which I can bring them to life. When my nervous system feels safe and my inner child feels nurtured and encouraged to be playful, I can fully step into my creative power.
Self-hypnosis has made me more aware of the patterns that block me and given me tools to regulate, reset, and expand — both personally and professionally.
I can't help but feel more aligned with my goals when I feel connected to joy and play. That is the emotion I want to feel when I envision myself fully immersed in my business and connected to success. The more I can connect with this feeling, the empowering visuals of me living in my best reality, my most abundant business timeline, the more I recognize the moments that I am living it.
