Remembering Who We’ve Been: How Past Life Regression, India, and Hypnotherapy Shaped My Journey

Doors To Many Lifetimes. Courtyard of Humayun's Tomb, Delhi, India in 2014

I’ve long held the belief that we live many lives. Not just across centuries, timelines, cultures—even worlds—but also within this one precious lifetime. I’ve seen myself reborn many times as different versions of “Jill”, shaped by experiences, relationships, endings, and awakenings.

This reflection was sparked by something small yet profound. I found a bag of undeveloped film rolls while moving recently. They were from a trip I took to India in 2014, when I was a junior in college.

Developing those photos felt like peering through a portal into another lifetime, one where it felt I was waking up spiritually for the first time. India was a world away from my upbringing in the States: a new time zone, many different languages, an ancient culture so unlike my own. And yet, amidst the unfamiliar, I felt an undeniable thread of recognition, as if my soul had wandered those streets before.

That trip cracked me open. It set in motion a profound personal and spiritual journey that would guide me back to myself in ways I never expected.

Fast forward six years: I found myself living in a small Philadelphia apartment during a global pandemic—just me, an Uber Eats account, my newly adopted emotional support cat, and a deep desire to live in a different reality. In that solitude, I asked myself, If I can live through this, what do I truly want my life to look like? Who do I want to be?

Around that time, I stumbled across Many Lives, Many Masters by Dr. Brian Weiss. Reading those pages reignited a subtle truth I’d long carried: that our souls are infinite. That we recycle through bodies, timelines, and communities to learn deeper lessons. That, in the end, we’re all just finding our way back home to our highest self—an idea that Hinduism has honored for thousands of years.

Soon after, I experienced my first past life regression session. I didn’t know it then, but that single session would be the seed of my path as a hypnotherapist. Today, after a hundred past life regression sessions—both personal and facilitated—I’ve witnessed the quiet, cosmic power of this work.

Here’s the truth: I can’t prove to you that past lives are real. I can’t show you a clinical study that will empirically confirm that our souls reincarnate. But maybe that’s not the point. What I can tell you is that our minds are breathtakingly powerful storytellers. They know how to guide us back to truths that matter now—insights that can transform how we see ourselves, heal relationships, and awaken compassion.

For me, the deepest gift of past life regression therapy is this: when you witness yourself as another—someone who lived, loved, suffered, and hoped—you awaken a profound compassion for all that you’ve been and all that others are. You begin to see the beauty and pain in every human path. The grudges you hold, the anger you carry, the stories that keep you small—suddenly, they loosen their grip.

You remember: we are all connected. We have all been someone else. And maybe, in another lifetime, we’ve already walked in the shoes of the person we struggle to forgive.

Whether or not you ever experience a past life regression therapy session, I hope you remember this: you are so much more than your current circumstances. Your mind is limitless. Your spirit is eternal. There is so much more for you than the small borders of what you can see today.

This work—past life regression therapy—is an invitation to remember. To witness who you’ve been. To decide who you want to become. To know that you are part of something vast and sacred, beyond time and space.

And the most beautiful part? The portal is already within you—alive in your mind, your heart, your spirit.

Do you feel the pull of the thread? If you feel called to explore your own soul’s story, I would be honored to guide you. You can book your past life regression session here — open the door to all you are and all you have been.

All my love,

Jill B, CHt
